The Australian market looks set to recoup the previous choppy session’s losses and open higher, following gains on Wall Street.

The SPI is up 34 points, at 5387.

In local economic news, Reserve Bank of Australia head of domestic markets Chris Aylmer is scheduled to speak at the Australian Securitisation Forum in Sydney while RBA Assistant Governor (Economic) Christopher Kent is slate to address the Australian Business Economists Conference Dinner, also in Sydney.

In equities news, A2 Milk Company has its annual general meeting in Sydney.
