The Australian market looks set to open lower following a stumble on Wall Street as tech stalwarts dragged on indexes and investors braced for major economic and political events in the US and Europe.
The SPI was down 40 points, at 5,219.
Locally, Reserve Bank of Australia assistant governor Guy Debelle will speak at a markets conference.
