The Aussie market is poised to open higher later this morning following a volatile session on Wall Street overnight that saw American indexes end mostly flat ahead of Fed Chair Janet Yellen’s testimony.

The SPI is up 7 points at 4,782.

In local economic news today, the Westpac/Melbourne Institute Survey of Consumer Sentiment is due out.

In equities space, CIMIC is slated to post full year results while Commonwealth Bank of Australia, AGL Energy, Boral, Stockland, OZ Minerals, Caresales and Computershare are all expected to release half year results.
