The Aussie market is slightly above water heading into the afternoon session, currently 10 points higher (+0.3%) at 4235.
Most sectors are in positive territory, with energy and financial plays leading the way whilst IT and healthcare stocks are the laggards.
In company news, PanAust is down 3% after reporting its latest quarterly activities report whilst Saint Barbara is up close to 5% to lead the ASX 200.
Around the region Asian markets are mainly higher; the Nikkei is up 0.3%.
