The Aussie market is flying today, with the XJO currently up more than 2%.
Every sector is in positive territory with the energy, financial and materials plays leading the charge.
In company news, Platinum Australia is being belted due to further problems at its Smokey Hills mine.
The stock is down more than 11% on news that local communities in South Africa have blocked a key access road to the mine.
Around the region, Asian markets are all trading higher; the Hang Seng is up 2.3% whilst the Nikkei is 1.7% stronger.
