Shaw River Manganese Limited (Shaw River) is engaged in the exploration for and evaluation of manganese deposits. The Company focuses on the development of an open cut mining operation at its Otjozondu project (Otjo) in Namibia. It operates through two geographical segments: Australia and Africa. Its projects include Otjozondu project, which is located approximately 150 kilometers north-east Windhoek in Namibia, and Butre Project, which is located in the Republic of Ghana in West Africa. The Butre Project is located approximately 30 kilometers on sealed roads from the bulk port of Takoradi and around 200 kilometers west of the capital, Accra. The Butre Project contains manganese occurrences at Jimra Bepo, consisting of multiple in-siti manganese oxide seams up to 12 meters thick. In addition, Shaw River holds interest in the manganese and iron rights in around three Pilbara tenements at Baramine, which is located approximately 80 kilometers north-west of Woodie Woodie Manganese mine.
